… and I’m a frostaholic. When I make a batch of frosting, I make twice as much so I can:
(1) eat a bunch right then and there
(2) pipe a dozen or so shot glasses full of fluffy goodness for later binging.
It’s a bit of a problem. But an absolutely delicious one!
If you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe. ~Carl Sagan
I baked my first cake when I was in Middle School. My parents were away for the evening, and I desperately wanted something chocolatey. So I scrounged up what I could find (which was not much – my mom was a box-mix kind of cook, but still a very good one!) and made this very weird cocoa powder fudge cake. The fudge part was supposed to make a sort of sauce, but I remember that it kind of just tasted like cocoa water. Flop. Since then, I have grown up, cultivated my cooking, and have finally achieved my dream of making a cooking blog of my very own.
By profession, I am an educator. Ergo, I do not have a lot of time to squeeze in perfection, quite unfortunately. So I do apologize that I may have pictures with bad lighting due to late night baking. But I promise that my posts will have impeccable grammar =]
Thank you for your interest in this project of mine – happy baking!
